PRELUDE: NEX1 KID MARAVILLA is the first short film written, directed, and produced by Sag Signatory Producer (Sag Indie) Christian Morales.


The short film presents the life of a New York City, Washington Heights underground homeless American Bachata musician is on the eve of being released from a drug outpatient rehab program whom contemplates what new steps to take into transitioning into society.



The film was shot in and around Washington Heights and New York City featuring an ensemble cast of eleven actors.


In the Film Festival circuit the short film debuted in it's first official selection by the Dumbo Film Festival of New York as a Semi-Finalist in ranking in the Bi-Monthly Online Event between December 2019-January 2020. PRELUDE: NEX1 KIDMARAVILLA was among 380 entries from 41 countries and it was particularly chosen and appreciated among the screeners whom ranked it a Semi-Finalist.
